"Documentary is meant to raise awareness. Educate and motivate audiences to think critically and be active and engaged citizens. Facilitate change. Connect. It’s the work I have done for almost 20 years and it’s been an honor. And while all these things are true, it comes down to something less specific and more magical. It’s about building bridges, launching catapults and moving mountains. Magical things we think about when we are young. Things that have the power to change the world, not yet corrupted by the limits of adult thinking. In many ways documentary takes us to this place. We see the world that we are all a part of, build bridges to other communities and experiences, and catapult ourselves into a space of hope and possibility."
